Adult Bible Study

We meet at 6:30 each Wednesday for discussion and study of the Scripture readings from the following Sunday's lectionary.  If you'd like, join us at 6:00 for a bag supper.  Each week is different, so join whenever you can.  Here's the schedule for spring:
    April 30 -- Acts 1:1-11
    May 7 -- Acts 2:1-21
    May 14 -- II Corinthians 13:11-13
    May 21 --  Deuteronomy 11:18-21

New Book Group

By popular demand -- a new offering for those who want to do some interesting reading and stretching of the mind.  The first title will be "The Golden Compass" by Philip Pullman.  This is the book which created a stir some months ago when the film came out because of concerns by some religious groups.  Here's a chance to read and see for ourselves!

The group will meet after church for two weeks, May 4 and May 11.  Grab a copy of the book (in bookstores in the "Young Adult" section; also on line or from any public library) and start reading, at least through "Part One" for the first meeting.
