Present

The first service in the current building was held on October 25, 1959 and the dedication service was conducted on May 8, 1960.  Rev. Archibald MacMillan continued to serve the congregation for the first fourteen years in Needham, before retiring in September 1971.  He was the last in an unbroken series of Canadian born ministers who filled our pulpit for almost eighty-five years.

Arch was succeeded in January 1972 by Rev. Lynn Lutz Illingworth, of State College, Pennsylvania, but continued to serve as Pastor Emeritus until his death in April 1976.  Lynn served until his retirement in October 1992 when he assumed the role of Pastor Emeritus.  After a lengthy search, our eighth permanent pastor, Rev. Lorne P. Bostwick, began his pastorate in Needham on Friday, June 10, 1994. Rev. Bostwick served until

Just as Rev. Illingworth, Rev. Bostwick, Rev. Elliott Hipp have represented a departure from the Nova Scotian origins of our church, there has been a progressive change in the makeup of our membership.  But much of our heritage has been retained.
